Farida Jalal Became Victim of Death Hoax on Social Media

Farida Jalal confirms she is hale and hearty

Born in 1949, Farida Jalal is a veteran Indian actress, who had acted in over two-hundred Bollywood films. Known primarily for her work in Hindi cinema, she had also worked in Telugu, Tamil, and English-language films.

She is popularly known for playing Jiya’s Nani in the Indian television show Shararat. She had won Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in Paras (1971), Henna (1991) and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995).

News of Farida Jalal’s death spread like wildfire on social networking sites on Sunday.

However, Farida Jalal said,

“I am hale and hearty. I don’t know where these baseless rumors are coming from. Initially, I laughed, but from last 30 mins my phone have been constantly ringing and everybody is asking the same question. It’s a bit irritating, I wonder why people spread such rumors.”

Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Yo Yo Honey Singh also became the victim of death hoax on social media.
